Dead and Gone
December 23, 2008
WHAT need you, being come to sense,
But fumble in a greasy till
And add the halfpence to the pence
And prayer to shivering prayer, until
You have dried the marrow from the bone;
For men were born to pray and save:
Romantic Ireland’s dead and gone,
It’s with O’Leary in the grave.
Spent some time in and around the docks area of Galway City, Ireland. Together with Eve and Mallet we erected this sign, Dead and Gone, taken from the WB Yeats poem, September 1913. The area will undergo a transformation in the coming months – the tanks being removed. Respect to the tins full of beans, a land mark in Galway.

I’ve Become A Magpie (solo show at G126)
December 8, 2008
I currently have a show at the artists led space G126 in Galway, Ireland
November 27th – December 13th 2008 http://www.g126.eu/
It’s called I’ve Become A Magpie because I get inspiration from many people and places and I like shiny things – sometimes borrowing them without telling anyone.
New works in the show are made up of collage, photography, installation and video made over the past two years while living and working in New York City.
There is an element of collaboration involved through working with others in an open environment both conceptually and practically within the making of the pieces. The show features collaborations with two other artists taking the form of video (Kay Merryweather) and photography (Vivienne Griffin)
